Northern Nigerian craft heritage

New in the workshop

Hand-made small-batch — a few of each piece, none of them identical.

“A phone case should outlast your phone. A leather sleeve should be a thirty-year object — not a year-one landfill item.”

— A note from our Gumel workshop

How it works

Three steps between a Northern Nigerian workshop and your door.

01 — Source

From the market

Leather is selected at the Sokoto leather workshops, fabric at the Kano and Kaduna textile markets, beads from a Katsina strand-maker, wood from Jigawa carpenters we trust.

02 — Make

By hand, in small batches

Every piece is hand-cut, hand-stitched, hand-carved or hand-strung. We do not run a factory — we coordinate a small group of artisans, each one doing what their family has done for generations.

03 — Ship

Tracked to your door

Orders are packed at our base in Gumel and dispatched within 2–4 business days. Tracked international courier — UK 7–12 days, US 8–15. Updates by email and SMS at every step if you opt in.

From the source

We do not stock anything we did not buy from a real artisan or a real market. Leather sourced and cut at the Sokoto workshops. Fabric bolts selected at the Kano and Kaduna textile markets. Beads strung in a Katsina workshop. Wood hand-picked from suppliers in Jigawa.

This is also why our catalogue is small — we would rather offer seven products we can vouch for than seventy we cannot.

Want to know when something new lands?

New fabric patterns and small leather batches come in irregularly. Opt in to SMS at checkout — we’ll let you know when we have something new in your size or pattern. See our SMS Terms.
